Between the breathtaking wonder of Niagara Falls and the aquamarine beaches of Salinas Harbor, an outsider might not see the crisis below the surface...
Clear air, water, and land are not guaranteed to the residents subjected to the generational cycle of environmental failure. Where the
highest-paying jobs cause cancer and blight have plagued the town, the communities assemble around collective action for health, hope, and resurgence. Produced by students from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, this remote collaboration highlights powerful stories of environmental justice from Niagara Falls, New York to Salinas, Puerto Rico.

-ABOUT THE PROJECT-
A Tale of Two Cities: Reclaiming Niagara Falls and Salinas was produced through innovative collaboration from students separated by more than 1,600 miles apart. From ideation to deliverable: the partnership between team members at Newhouse and Sagrado was fully remote. Canon played a key role in supporting this connection through its AMLOS (Activate My Line of Sight) technology.
